Life | Reflections & Goals 2019...

For me 2018 felt strange. Most of the time I was adequately happy but other times not so much. It was a year of major comparison for me in every aspect: Career, Blog and life in general. I don't want to be that person who compares everything but sometimes when you try so hard in something and then always fall short at the last hurdle, it destroys your confidence and hurts. A lot. Needless to say, this is something that I do want to majorly work on in 2019. I need to add a few things, remove a few things and then things should be ok (there is a good reason I'm being vague)

Anyway, besides that kinda deep admission above, I also have general things I want to work on in 2019.

These are:

001) Consume less:

I've become much more aware of things I buy and use/wear once or twice then they never see the daylight again. Instead I want to buy less and appreciate what I do have already. One bonus of doing this is that my bank balance will be much happier.

002) Read more:

In 2018, I read a lot of books and rediscovered my love for reading. So in 2019, I want to read even more. I've just set up a Goodreads account with a goal of 30 books for the year (which is definitely achievable). In addition to reading more, I also want to read one book at a time and buy kindle versions of books that I will possibly read only once.

003) Schedule in days to do nothing:

I am actually my own worst enemy. I can't do nothing. If i'm not working, then I'm blogging and vice versa. I never make a point of doing nothing - even if it is just simply reading a book with a cup of tea. I feel I have to be productive 95% of the time. If I'm not being productive by earning money or working on my blog, then I feel it is time wasted.

004) Introduce more yoga:

When I'm not stuffed full of Cheese and Chocolate from the festive period, I usually have a Body Balance class scheduled in once a week. However, I think in 2019, I want to perhaps introduce some extra yoga into my life - maybe at least one session per week.

005) Stretch/Foam Roll:

I am great at attending classes and gym sessions (ish). However, I totally screw up when it comes to having a longer stretch or using the tool of doom - the foam roller (It is actual torture). So in 2019, I want to try and incorporate both 2-3 times a week as an injury preventative.

006) Use my diary:

Diaries are one of my favourite things to buy. However, I am rubbish at using them regularly. Why? I have no idea. So in 2019, I want to be able to use my diary more frequently so that I no longer have to wing it when it comes to remembering if I need to be somewhere.

007) Declutter:

Along the lines of consume less, I also want to declutter my house. Not that it crazily cluttered. More along the lines that I have much more things than I could possibly need. I also need to decorate my bedroom at some point (which I have been saying for the past two years...)
