Local | The Spiritualist Aberdeen...

Aberdeen is a city of many things: Granite, Rowies and Gigantic thieving Seagulls to mention a mere few. However, it is also home to some of the best independent cafes and restaurants around so needless to say there are always plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail (or three...)

One of the city's latest additions is The Spiritualist. Located in Langstane Place, The Spiritualist is a hub for delicious food and innovative cocktails like the city has never seen before.

So far I have managed to visit twice since it opened: once for their official launch night (which was probably the busiest event I have ever attended) and also once with my friend for some food.

At the launch night, I had the pleasure of trying out some of their delicious cocktails which made for a very interesting day at work the next day. From ice spheres to hanging trees to even a disco ball, you can guarantee that this is not your average cocktail experience.

Like the cocktail menu, the food menu is also very innovative and a couple of examples include a  Rowie burger and the range of hanging grills. Even for the less adventurous, there are some classic pub food items on the menu which you will definitely love.

When I visited with my friend, we both opted for the The Stag and Bull Buttery Burger (aka the Rowie burger) simply because it sounded really intriguing. Strange as it sounds, it was actually incredibly tasty and I would definitely recommend it.

For dessert, I opted for the traditional Sticky Toffee Pudding as it is one of my all-time favourite desserts. Large, gooey and with the right amount of sauce, it was the perfect way to end my meal.

The Spiritualist is located at 67 Langstane Place, Aberdeen
