Monthly Favourites | May...

Left to right: Aloe Vera plant, Tortoiseshell sunglasses, Blue Sweatshirt with Michigan in yellow, Livias Kitchen Biccy Boms; Make up brush and Body Shop Foundation

May felt like a particularly long month for various reasons but thankfully my Monthly Favourites are not quite so long.

So what was I loving?

Livia's Kitchen Biccy Boms: Chocolate

These were actually an accidental discovery whilst perusing the shelves of Sainsburys. Covered in Cacao with a date centre, these actually feel much more unhealthy and luxurious than they actually are. Needless to say, I'm definitely taking some away with me this upcoming weekend.

Aloe Vera Plant:

So this is a bit of an odd monthly favourite, but I thought this plant was on its way out at the start of the month. With a little gentle nursing, it seems to be back to its normal self and attempting to take over the flat (again).

Benefit Boiing Hydrating Concealer:

Boiing has been on my love list for a number of years but now...I think I prefer their hydrating version even more. This month was the first full month of testing it and *spoiler alert* I really, really like it.

The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation:

I've spoken about my love for this foundation in a recent review post so I won't go into much detail here. However, what I will say is that my love for it is still as strong and it has been the only foundation on my face throughout May.

Big Magic - Elizabeth Gilbert:

This book took me an absolute age to read...and not because it was a difficult read. I was just a lazy reader who read little and not often. While there were some things that raised an eyebrow or two, there was also so much in it that did make sense and perhaps was worth remembering.

Michigan Jumper:

This jumper is one of my favourite vintage finds from a year or two ago. Comfy, warm and practical, I have generally not taken it off throughout May.

H&M Sunglasses:

I always carry sunglasses with me (more of a precaution than anything) and so when my favourite Quay Sunglasses broke, I needed a new pair. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything I liked from them, but I did come across this Tortoiseshell pair from H&M for a mere £6.99. Safe to say with all this nice weather we have been having in May, they have certainly been put to good use.

Cargo Magic Brush:

I have had this brush for a number of years but I hadn't really used it before now. That being said, I now use it all the time. I find that it is perfect to be used with loose powder.
