Fitness | Favourite on-the-go snacks...


If I was given the option, I would rather eat snacks all day than have main meals. I just prefer lots of little things to nibble on.

Being out of the house the majority of the day and then not returning home until late at night means that all my food has to be portable. I am a creature of habit and so the snacks that I use daily stay the same until I really get bored of them.

In the morning for my tea break, I usually have some Fage yoghurt (0% as the other one is too creamy for me to handle) with either some kind of berries or some locally produced Granola. I then accompany this with an apple (normally a Gala or a Pink Lady).

For afternoon tea break, I either have a Nakd bar (Their new Blueberry Muffin one is the best) or a couple of Nutri-bombz (which are incredible bites of delight).

The rest of the day my snacks vary dramatically. However, there are always a good mixture of Protein, Fats and Carbohydrates.

Some of my other snacks that I may have include:

Apple with Peanut Butter (loving this locally produced one from Hungry Squirrel)
Almonds (great source of fat)
Chicken Breast (not your normal snack)
Tuna with Cottage Cheese

The list is actually endless...
