Beauty | James Dun's House Aberdeen...

Having lived within Aberdeen for 12 years, I still haven't met 'the one'. And by 'the one' I don't mean a love interest - I mean a hairdresser.

I've been to a number of different salons in Aberdeen and I have also popped home to visit a salon beside my parents. While it is always lovely to see my parents, I really need to stop visiting just when I need a haircut.

Situated within the heart of Aberdeen City Centre, James Dun's House offers a complete range of Aveda Hair and Beauty treatments which is perfect when you are in need of a little pampering! And I certainly was in need of some when they invited me to try out their colour services.

On arrival into the salon, I was greeted by a friendly reception team who booked me in and introduced me to Bethany who was going to be my colourist for the day. James Dun's House use Aveda Full Spectrum colours within their salon. These are 96% naturally derived and are fade resistant. This in itself is something that appeals to me.

Prior to my visit, my hair had some blonde left over from a previous colour treatment from a while ago. However, it was safe to say that it was in need of a little TLC.

After a consultation with Bethany, we decided to go with a fairly similar colour combination to what I previously had but a little touch brighter.

Overall, I absolutely love what Bethany has done with my hair. It feels fresh and bright and even when writing this, the colour is still as fresh as it was when it was originally done. In addition, the experience I had at James Dun's House was second to none - from the moment I arrived to the moment I left the staff were friendly and so professional too. It is definitely an experience which I would like to repeat sometime soon. I'm already thinking of booking a treatment for my next day off work.
