Eats | Salted Caramel Balls...

You know me - I can't resist creating energy balls recipes. Previously I have created Gingerbread Balls, Brownie Balls and Cherry Bakewell Balls. However, this time I am bringing you one of my favourite recipes to date: Salted Caramel Balls.

Monthly Favourites | January...

Goodness me, it's practically February already! January passed in a bit of a blur if I'm honest. For the first couple of weeks I was out of my flat for plumbing issues which really threw me off balance with everything else that was going on. Once I returned, I spent my time trying to catch up on all the posts which were supposed to go live and trying to get back on track with my Macros. It was pretty difficult and even now I'm still playing catch-up.

Life | This Week #069...

001) This week I have managed to mainly stay on track with my macros which has been pretty awesome as I have felt much better about myself knowing what I have been eating.

002) As I'm beginning to get older, I am finding that I am beginning to appreciate the minimalist approach to life much more. So this week I have began to slowly reduce the amount of crap that I own by either throwing out things (like shoes which are clearly past it) or donating things to charity. Let's be honest, I'm hardly ever here to appreciate everything that I own. I also hate cleaning round everything...

003) In addition, this week I have also started to do the 5 minute jobs which just don't get done. For instance, I had a photo frame lying around with a picture ready-to-go and I had just never put two and two together. Now  that I have done it, it is now sitting looking pretty in my hallway. Next up is to put my kitchen door thing back together...

004) Now as you know, I had plumbing issues a few weeks back. Well on Thursday I had a similar issue coming from the flat above this time. Thankfully, it seems to have sorted itself out from what I can see and is drying up nicely. All I need to do now is paint over the water mark.

005) On Friday, I finally managed to purchase a new Food Processor. I say finally as I went to 4 different places and only on the 4th (Argos) did I find I Food Processor that was in stock. Crazy right? I also took the plunge and purchased a slow cooker which I am really impressed with. I made Honey Chilli Turkey last night and it was delicious.

006) I always think that the signs of a good workout are those where you are sore for days after. Since Thursday I have been feeling all the feels - Triceps and Glutes have been on absolute fire. Even now, a few days later, they are still burning...

Fitness | Changing the habits of a lifetime...

If you have been following me for a while, you may remember that I shared my Fitness Story. At that point in time, I had given very little thought in regards to making nutritional lifestyle changes and instead I focused on exercise, exercise and even more exercise. However, since then I have learnt that abs really are made in the kitchen.

Eats | Cinnamon Quinoa Bake...

Quinoa is a pretty versatile food that can be used in multiple ways. I got bored of using it the bog standard way as a substitute for rice so I started having a look for other ways to incorporate it into my day. One of the ideas that I kept coming across online was a Quinoa Bake.

Life | This Week #067...

001) This week I finally returned to my flat after all the issues that have been going on. This has meant that I have had a lot of catching up to do with chores/putting away Christmas presents etc.

Beauty | Make-up Mix #004...

My make-up bag never really changes: I stick to the same base; the same concealer and pretty much the same basic eyeshadow (MAC paintpot in Bare Study FYI). Pretty boring right?

Fitness | Fitbit Charge 2...

Fitness is a pretty huge passion of mine so it will come as no surprise that I love seeing my fitness stats (this also warms to my scientific side). At the end of last year, I started looking for something to replace my Fitbit flex which I found was a little too basic for my needs (don't worry it has a new home with my Dad) but also something that could monitor my heart rate without a chest strap like my Polar watch.

Life | This Week #066...

001) Plumbing issues are still ahoy at my flat so my Marie Kando-style flat clean has now been put on hold for a bit.

002) You know I love my fitness, so next week myself and a friend are booked into Foodstory for a Yoga Granola session which should be fun!

003) This week saw the dreaded return to work after the festive period. I'm not even going to lie that I enjoyed going back. It was so hard to re-establish a proper routine again.

004) Finally, I've compiled a little survey for the blog which I would love you to complete and provide some feedback to determine which way I should go next.

Blogging | The Realities of Blogging...

Over the past 5 years or so, blogging has really taken heed. With the likes of Zoella and The Blonde Salad managing to carve a successful niche and career, it now seems like everyone wants to be a blogger.

Fitness | Fitness Review 2016 and Fitness Goals 2017...

Fitness has now been a major part of my life for the last few years and to be honest, I don't think it will never now not be a part of my life.

Travel | Moxy Hotel Launch...

There ain't no party like a Moxy party...and that is certainly true when I attended the recent Moxy Aberdeen hotel launch.

Life | This Week #065...

001) First things first - Happy New Year and all the best for 2017!

002) 2016 did not end on a good note for me. My flat decided to have a plumbing issue which consequently meant I had to change my New Year Eve plans and instead of attending a party in Aberdeen, head back to where my parents are. No idea when I will be back.

003) On another note, I went back to the gym on Thursday after the festive period and it was like I had never been in a gym before. Everything hurts - legs in particular.

004) Staying with the gym theme - back track felt amazing on Saturday with the heaviest weight I use. So much so that I think more will be put on in the near future.
