Eats | Brownie Energy Balls...


Brownies are one of my favourite sweet treats however they are by far not the healthiest.

These easy brownie-inspired energy balls are simple and quick to make. Perfect for that mid-afternoon slump.



You will need:

1 cup Walnuts
1/2 cup Cashews
2 1/2 tbsp Cacao Powder
1 packet (12-13) pitted Dates
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tsp Water


001) Into a food processor, combine the Walnuts and Cashews and pulse until they are smaller than they started.
002) Next add in the remainder of the ingredients and process until you have a mixture that is easy to roll into balls. Be careful not to over process as the mixture will fall apart.
003) Roll into balls and refrigerate. Ideally these balls are best served direct from the fridge although I have been known to stick them in the freezer for a frozen treat.
