Fitness | Floatfit...

Activities that require balancing have never been my strong point. In Primary School I managed to fracture my arm on my 1st ski lesson; in Horse Riding lessons I fell off too many times to count and the first time on a skateboard...well that also ended up in disaster!

So when Christy from Dinner Stories asked if I wanted to try out a new fitness class which would require balance, I decided to ignore all previous bad experiences of activities which require balance and try it out.

So what is Floatfit?
Floatfit is a brand new board-based HIIT class where both your balance and core muscles are tested to the limit. Each 30 minute class incorporates a variety of exercises such as Burpees and Squats. These types of exercises are challenging in a normal environment but when you add water...well that is a completely different kettle of fish.

So what did I think?

This class was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and had all the challenges that I would expect. The instructor, Paula, was brilliant and encouraged us all the way through. Falling off the board into the water was expected and unsurprisingly, I did fall off towards the end of the class. Although I didn't actually feel anything until much later on...but when I did my muscles were pretty sore!

So would I do it again?
Undoubtedly Yes!

Thank you Sport Aberdeen for inviting me along and also to Paula for a brilliant class.

Floatfit classes are available at the Beach Leisure Centre in Aberdeen and across various locations in London.
