Real Juice Reboot round-up...

A few weeks ago, I completed a 21 day Real Juice Challenge in association with Philips, Madeleine Shaw & the Body Coach, Joe Wicks. The aim of this challenge was to show how easy it can be to have just one juice a day. For this challenge, I was provided with a Philips Viva Juicer, recipes and all the ingredients that I needed and then it was game on!

The 1st week of the challenge were recipes set by Madeleine Shaw. These recipes were mainly vegetable based and surprisingly quite nice. Each of the 7 recipes actually made a huge amount of juice which sometimes, especially in the case of day 1, was a little too much! I generally liked the majority of these recipes with my favourite being 'Beat the Bloat' which was incredible.

Week 2 recipes were creations from Joe Wicks. Now, compared to week 1, these were more fruity and more up my alley. The amounts made were much smaller and I felt that the purposes were more suited to my lifestyle ie Pre and post-workout. My favourite from this week was 'The Early Bird'.

The final week of this challenge consisted of recipes from a mixture of bloggers. Most of these tasted pretty decent. However, there was one that I had to substitute slightly as Sainsburys did not stock Dragonfruit when I required it. Instead, I used a Papaya which tasted pretty good. My favourite from this week was 'Tropical Tipple'.

Overall, this challenge was easier than anticipated. Making a juice every day took me literally 5 minutes from prepping to juicing. I think that I actually spent longer cleaning the juicer (dismantling, washing etc) than making a juice. In addition, I also noticed that one of the benefits for me of juicing was that my skin was so much better than normal as well as finding something healthy that I enjoyed doing.
