Travel | York...

Teacups_and_Buttondrops_York

When people tell you York is beautiful they are definitely not lying. Before Christmas I spent a few days in York with my Mum exploring the city and doing a little Christmas shopping. Unfortunately we just missed the Christmas markets but it's always an excuse to come back next year, right?

York reminds me very much of a Medieval village in Suffolk called Lavenham. The buildings are steeped in history and a ghost tour (which are certainly aplenty) will certainly fill you in on some of the city's history and the spooky side of the city.

In addition to ghost tours, there is also the York Minster. Unfortunately we did not get to go in as graduations were happening on the days that we were there but even to view the outside was spectacular.

Looking for a food stop? York has lots of tearooms available for your perusal as well as some good English pubs serving traditional pub grub. I'll be sharing one of my favourites on here tomorrow.
