Sometimes all you need for the perfect evening is the girls, good food and cocktails. And that is exactly what happened when we were invited to the launch of Chaophraya in Aberdeen.

What makes Chaophraya unique from any other restaurant in Aberdeen is that you get the full Thai experience from the moment that you step foot in the doorway to the moment that you leave. In particular the decor is absolutely stunning and it's hard to believe that you are actually still in Aberdeen and not in Thailand!

The staff at Chaophraya were absolutely wonderful and they were fantastic at providing us with recommendations from the menu. The recommendations for the dishes were spot on as the food was absolutely delicious. In my 29 years (!), I honestly do not think that I've had a meal and commented so much to other people on how tasty it was. Seriously!

In addition to the tasty food, Chaophraya have a really good cocktail menu. I started the meal with Flower Market which has Aperol, Gin, Elderflower, Lemon & Vanilla which was really good. However, we then discovered that they have theatrical cocktails on the menu too and so feeling adventurous we decided to try them. We ordered one of each to try out as we felt that we needed to see them all. One of the staff actually got really excited when we had placed our order as my friend was the 1st person to order the DIY cocktail from their menu. Meanwhile, myself and Georgie from The Lipstick Daily opted for the Mockingbird as we both intrigued by the cage feature while one of my other friends ordered the Temple of Don. I must say they all tasted pretty good!
