Beauty Kitchen: Cleansing Balm

Cleansing Balms are something that are a fairly new concept to myself. I have previously tried other types of cleansers but never a balm formula.

Beauty Kitchen recently got in touch to see if I would like to try a couple of things from their new skincare range and they kindly sent me a cleansing balm to review along with something else that will be reviewed shortly.

As someone who tends to be pretty busy day-to-day and also has a habit of underestimating time (especially before work), I like beauty/skincare products that are no fuss and will fit easily into my routine. This now being one of them.

This product is, as you can probably guess from above, simple to use. You take a small-sized amount and rub it between your fingers before applying to your face. Afterwards, take a warm flannel and gently remove it. The result? Smooth, soft skin which smells incredible. Absolutely lovely.

April Favourites...

1st of May next week....how is that even possible? April has been, for me, a bit of a whistlestop tour with adventures, work and some gym classes thrown in. I have also been avoiding certain household tasks, enjoying my new-found love of doing my eyebrows and planning for my holiday to Portugal next month (Woohoo!)

Here is what I have been loving this month:

Ps: You may notice that I am actually posting this at the end of the month instead of mid-month.

March favourites...

I think I should possibly rename my favourites to mid-month favourites as that is when I seem to be posting them, haha. Anyway, March passed by in a breeze and it was filled with lots of socialising, dreaming and trying new things. It was also tinged with a bit of sadness as I lost Darwin, my Chinese Hamster who was 4 years old.

Here is what I have been loving in March:

Mother's Day weekend...

A few months ago, I started to hatch a plan to surprise my Mum for Mother's Day. After numerous secret phone calls and emails to my Dad, the plan was set with the location being Cullen,

Here are some photos from the weekend:

Ikea Haul...

Last weekend while visiting home, I paid a visit to one of my favourite stores: IKEA. I can never not go to IKEA and not buy anything, so true to form I bought some things.

Here is what I bought:

Bourjois Nail Varnish Remover...

Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover

I must have been living under a rock when the hype about this product was around. Late to the party as usual. Anyway, I finally picked up this product when boots were offering their 3 for 2 deal.

Described with having the ability to remove your nail varnish in 1 second , this nail varnish remover promises great things. I am pleased to say, it doesn't disappoint although it was probably between 3-5 seconds to remove a nail which is still pretty impressive. Strangely, I also loved the feeling of dipping my finger into the pot.

Bourjois Nail Varnish Remover retails for £4.99 and is available from Boots
