Recently read 001...

Books come and go for me. I go through phases of reading everything in sight to not reading anything at all. I have no idea why I do this as I love reading.

Here is what I have recently finished:

Glasgow Kiss - Alex Gray:
A fast-paced crime novel set in Glasgow. This tells the story of a girl who goes missing in Glasgow and it's up to DCI Lorimer to solve it. I loved this book as I love both crime books and also anything that is set in a familiar place to me. Honestly, I could not put this book down! I think if you enjoy reading the likes of Ian Rankin (Set mainly in Edinburgh) and Stuart MacBride (Set mainly in Aberdeen) then you will love this. I just need to wait for my Mum to finish reading the other one she has so I can steal it...

Sea Room: an Island life - Adam Nicolson:
A non-fiction which describes what life was/is like on the Shiant Islands on the West Coast of Scotland. This one is surprisingly good and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Each chapter is dedicated to a certain aspect of island life and switches between the past and the present. Overall, an interesting read which is surprisingly enjoyable.

Coming up next:
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - Deborah Moggach: I have seen this movie but if a book becomes a movie, I always have to read the book as well due to the fact that movies tend to miss out details.
