Pure by Phytocare Papaya Ointment...

Let's be honest, this weather has been completely unpredictable for Winter. One minute it is in the minus temperatures , then the next it is as warm as a spring day. Needless to say it has been playing havoc with my lips.

PURE Papaya Ointment Scottish Blogger Network

As part of the Scottish Blogger Network Christmas Collaboration, I was provided with Pure Papaya Ointment to review. Made out of entirely natural ingredients (with Papaya taking centre stage) and with no petrochemicals, this product  is a great source of nutrients and vitamins. As well as being a natural product, this product also has a multitude of uses -from use on dry, cracked lips to moisten and soften nipples while breastfeeding.

Quite simply, this product is amazing. It is super moisturising and I did notice an improvement in the appearance of my lips - much less of the crackle and more of the smooth. I actually gave my friend some to try out as well as I was really impressed with it and she said she enjoyed using it too. In addition to the above,I also noticed that it smelled incredible.

Beauty Kitchen - Natural Body Scrub Kit...

Beauty Kitchen is a brand which specialises in 100% natural beauty products. Having been introduced to them fairly recently at FABB Glasgow, I was excited to see them as part of the Scottish Blogger Network Christmas Collaboration.

Beauty Kitchen, Body Scrub Kit

Beauty Kitchen Body Scrub Kit

I was provided with the Love Me Body Scrub kit which contains everything you  require to make your own Body Scrub as well as instructions. It also contains a couple of little extras - a bath bomb and a packet of Wild Cornflower seeds to sow in your garden. Fabulous additional touches if you ask me.

Now I have never made a body scrub in my life (or any other beauty/bath products come to think of it) so I was quite excited to try this out. For some reason, I had made it out in my mind that it would be difficult to do. I was wrong. It is really simple which means it would make a great present for anyone of any age who was interested in doing this.

Overall,I had a lot of fun making this kit and I would recommend that it would make a great gift for anyone with an interest in beauty products. It also comes beautifully packaged and perhaps what I think is the most important thing - it is 100% natural.

Love Me Body Scrub Kit is available online from Beauty Kitchen and retails for £19.95

NSpa Cleansing Gel...

If I was to be asked what my favourite type of cleanser was, I would definitely say gel cleansers. I think I prefer that formula much more than any other type.

As part of the Scottish Blogger Network Christmas Collaboration, I was given NSpa melting gel cleanser to try out.

Now first thing you notice with this product is the smell. I wouldn't say that it was overpowering in a way that would make you not want to use it but quite the opposite. It has a familiar smell which I can't quite pinpoint (floral perhaps?) but it's lovely anyway.

As the name clearly states, it is a gel formula. It remains in this state until water is added where it turns into almost a milk-type formula which can be washed away.

I really enjoyed using this product and would definitely recommend it. It is simple to use and non-messy. Once applied (and consequently removed), it leaves your skin feeling super smooth and removes most make-up which gets in the way.

NSpa melting gel cleanser retails for £6 and is available exclusively at Asda

Sunkissed instant self-tanning mousse...

With summer long past and winter months setting in, gone are the days of a natural tan. Unlike some, who are able to get away for some winter sun, most of us have to fake it.

As part of the Scottish Blogger Network Christmas Collaboration, I was given a bottle of Sunkissed Instant Self-tanning mousse in medium bronze* to try along with a mitt for application.

Now I am going to be honest and say I don't tan too often (I'm lazy!) and I seem to sport a pale, interesting look for 90% of the year. This is also partly due to the fact I worked in fashion retail for many years and spotted some, let's say, interesting results on my shifts. However, despite this, I do love the look of a golden tan so I was looking forward to trying out this product.

This product is in the form of a mousse which in my opinion is generally much easier to work with. It comes in a large bottle (200ml) with a pump at the top and it smells amazing (it truly does!).  After using this product,I have found that it is easy to work with, and for someone who is not a frequent user of tan, completely user-friendly. The colour was pretty build-able too which is great as you can vary how deep you want your tan.

Day 3 (after showers etc)

As you can see the tan fades slowly which is great.Even now, sitting here a couple of days after taking the last picture, there is still a noticeable difference between my tanned areas (my legs) and areas that aren't.

Overall, I enjoyed using this product. It has definitely encouraged me to try fake tan more often as I found the process so easy and surprisingly enjoyable.

Sunkissed Instant Self-Tanning mousse* retails for £4.99 and is available online here
