August Favourites

Is it really September already? It seems like the summer has gone quicker than Usain Bolt running 100 metres.

Anyway, as its now September, I thought I would share with you my August Favourites. These include some new ones as well as an old faithful.

Q The Fine Fragrance Body Spray:
This item was first brought to my attention through Glossy Box. Yes, it is a body spray and generally a not too exciting product. However, this product is like an upper class body spray (if that is at all possible). The fragrance is incredible and smells very feminine. This particular one is Q Balance and is described as 'a floral harmony of Iris and Mimosa. Romantic, soft and sensuous.'

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray:
Setting sprays are a fairly recent item into my daily routine. It was something I had never really considered using much before. Previously I was using one from ELF Cosmetics and while it was ok, I was keen to try others once it ran out. After attending an Urban Decay event, I had my heart set on trying this one as I had heard many good things about it. I purchased the smaller version (30ml) as I thought that it would be the perfect size for testing it out. I have been using this since I purchased it and I have to say I am impressed with it. Having purchased the smaller size, I have found that it is the perfect travel companion.

Topshop Cream Blush in Morning Dew:
Topshop blushers are by far my favourite cream blushers. They are easily blend-able and they come in a variety of shades. The shade Morning Dew is a gorgeous pink which appears bright in the pan. However, once applied it transforms to a gorgeous pink across your cheeks. A little word of warning: a tiny bit goes a long way!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette:
Ah, the infamous Naked Eyeshadow Palette range. I must admit, I am up there with the people who rave about these palettes. Having purchased the Naked 2 palette and completely falling in love with it, I was extremely interested when they launched the Naked Basics Palette. For those that have been hiding under a rock (where have you been?), the Naked Basics Palette is a set of 6 neutral eyeshadows. However, unlike the Naked palettes where there is a lot of shimmery shades, the basic palette is completely matte. This is a great everyday palette which I have been using a lot and conveniently it fits in the palm of my hand.

Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara:
As someone who has never really 'got' fake eyelashes ie they don't like me, I am always trying to find ways to make my lashes look lengthy.  I have tried many different mascaras with some working better than others. As someone who has tried Soap & Glory make-up before, I was keen to see what this mascara would do.
As it turns out, this mascara is superb at providing longer looking lashes as well as volume. No wonder it has sneaked its way into my August favourites.

Urban Decay Naked Skin BB Balm:
This is my 3rd and final Urban Decay product this month - I promise! This is another product which I saw at the Urban Decay event and fell in love with. It is classed as a Beauty Balm, however I use it as a primer which it is great for. Again, like the Topshop Blushers, a little goes a long way.

L'oreal Shampoo (Mango) & Conditioner (Strawberry):
Let's get one thing straight: being in my twenties, I am in no way a child. However, after reading something online about how children's shampoos & conditioners are less harsh than others, I thought that perhaps there was a chance that eventually I wouldn't have to wash my hair as much as I currently do by using these. At the present time, the jury is still out on whether its working or not but fingers crossed I will be able to squeeze another day before washing it (Yes, my long hair is a hassle to wash). If not, then at least my hair will smell lovely as they smell good enough to eat.

What have you been loving in August?
