Maybelline Baby Lips...

Maybelline Baby Lips
L-R: Cherry Me, Mint Fresh, Hydrate, Intense Care,Peach Kiss and Pink Punch

Generally I am not a girl who gets hyped up about new beauty releases...until this one. As I read a fair number of American blogs as well as watch Youtube, I was always coming across Maybelline Baby Lips which have never been available in the UK until now.

Baby Lips are lip balms by Maybelline. They come in 6 different varieties: Mint Fresh, Hydrate, Intense Care, Pink Punch, Peach Kiss and Cherry Me. Baby Lips are designed to look after your lips and they protect and moisturise for up to 8 hours.

Pink Punch

Peach Kiss

Cherry Me

As you can see from the photos, only 3 of the 6 Baby Lips give off any colour payoff. Personally I like this split as it gives you options for colour or no colour. I have to admit that there are days when my preference is much more for nourishing my lips than having any colour on them (particularly on lazy Sundays), which is why I am happy with the split. Another thing I particularly love about these lip balms is the smell. Out of the 6, 4 of them are scented: Mint Fresh, Pink Punch, Cherry Me and Peach Kiss. They really do smell good enough to eat!

Overall, I am really impressed with these lip balms. They are extremely nourishing and compared to others in the same price bracket, they do an amazing job.If I am honest, I would probably say that they could give higher priced lip balms a run for their money. One final thing: Baby Lips are also reasonably priced - a friendly £2.99 each!

Have you ever tried Maybelline Baby Lips?

Sachajuan Professional Volume Hair

My hair is very long and very fine. When it is down, it sticks to my head like glue. It never seems to have that 'ooomph' factor. I get extremely irritated with it sometimes and I long for the day when I will magically wake up and it will be voluminous.

Sachajuan is a swedish haircare brand which specialises in providing high quality hair care. Using minerals and proteins extracted from Sea Algae, Sachajuan have developed products which are designed for different hair types.

Recently, I was sent some volume products from Sachajuan to try. I was kindly given the Volume Shampoo*,Volume Conditioner* and the Volume Powder*.

Volume Shampoo and Volume Conditioner:

This combination works together like two peas in a pod. I have been using these since I received them and I love them. They do not smell overpowering at all and leave my hair with more volume.

Volume Powder:

I have always been intrigued by the recent of bout of volume powders that have recently been hitting the shelves. Therefore I was excited to try this one out. This powder comes in a spray form, like dry shampoo which makes it easy and less messy to use than other ones. I found this product was to great to use on the go. Also it leaves your hair with more volume in your hair.

What I thought of the range:

I really liked this range. All the products were great and did exactly what they were meant to do. I also liked that they were made from Sea Algae. I would definitely consider purchasing these products in the future as I felt that the products lasted a considerable amount of time.

Have you tried any products from Sachajuan before?

Sachajuan is available from Selfridges and Cult Beauty.

A-brow-zing

On Friday, I popped along to Benefit in Debenhams in Aberdeen to have my eyebrows done. Now I have never ever had someone else do my eyebrows - I have always tended to them myself. Needless to say I was slightly apprehensive about getting them done.

Eyebrows before
Eyebrows after

The process only took all of 5 minutes to wax them and it was slightly more painful than I had anticipated. However, I absolutely love them. My eyebrows look much better and slightly happier (if eyebrows can look happy!). I would definitely have no hesitations in booking another appointment with Benefit as they were just fabulous.

Have you ever paid a visit to the Benefit Brow Bar?If so, what did you think?

On Thursday, I attended an Urban Decay event held in Debenhams in Aberdeen in association with North East Blogger Events. Now unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard about Urban Decay. Urban Decay is the brand which have brought us, amongst other wonders, the notorious (and well-loved) Naked palettes.
