10 things this week #16

Happy Birthday Barney!!

10 things:

001) I have had no internet this week (this internet is stolen from my friend). I was watching the Grand Prix on my ipad and then it all went funny :(. Strangely enough my phone hasn't been able to pick it up either. I think BT must be having issues.
002)Despite having no internet, I have been watching copious amounts of Gossip Girl for about the thousandth time. I've only seen up to the end of season 4 at the moment but I have since purchased season 5 :).
003)I made slutty brownies. Hello heaven in a cake!
004)This week I have been going into work slightly earlier, leaving earlier and then heading to the gym straightafter. Win.
005)Random coffee meetings with friends are fun :)
006)I have lots of exciting things planned for the next few weeks :)
007)I saw 'All you need is love' the other night (as we were banned from seeing Olympus has fallen and Iron Man 3 until my friend is back from offshore). All I can say is that Pierce Brosnan is getting much older now and he does some typical 'Dad dancing' in it.
008)I have been making lots of little life plans recently. I'm not going to go too much detail as it is baby steps but all I can say is that I'm feeling positive :).
009)I went for a lovely roast dinner earlier with my friends and my friend's gran :).
010)It is Barney's 9th birthday today :). I would love to say that he has learnt to behave in 9 years, but he hasn't. He is still a little thief!

Products I've used up #4

One problem of writing about Fashion & Beauty is that generally you acquire a lot of  'stuff'.In particular beauty is the worst culprit as there are so many brands each vying for your attention with the same product.I accumulate a lot of beauty & skincare products so writing these posts is a perfect way for me to use some of them up.

What have you used up recently?

10 things this week #15

Last night's dinner at The Braided Fig

10 things:

001)Delivery companies who have their depot far out are the worst. Sometimes I think life would be easier if everything got delivered by Royal Mail and then at least I have a hope of getting it as I work full-time.Speaking of which Hermes left a card with only my name on it, nothing else so I don't actually know if they have reattempted delivery or not. I know that it was my Glossy Box which they were delivering.
002)In connection to the above, I did receive some lovely things through the post. Thank you so much if you are reading this :).
003)Today has been renamed as super sleepy Sunday.
004)I have spent literally no time in the flat this week - I've been a little social butterfly :)
005)My laptop is having a small breakdown and is refusing to do things :(.
006)I have purchased the most wonderful wedges from New Look. I wore them out last night for my friend's birthday night out and they were super comfy.
007)Catching up with friends who you haven't seen for a while is always good fun. I met up with one of mine on Thursday and we paid a visit to Cosmo in Aberdeen which was pretty tasty :). I took a risk and tasted some squid, which surprisingly, was quite nice.
008) I may or may not have bought some bits for a giveaway :)
009)Balmedie beach is gorgeous for walking along. I went with some friends on Saturday and afterwards we went to a tearoom/coffee shop called 'Tarts and Crafts'.
010)Emeli Sande's album is amazing and she's local too :).

10 things this week #14

Catching up with New Girl and plotting to take over the world

10 things:

001)I am in love with my new blender :). I have been having smoothies every day for breakfast and it's great as not only are they super healthy, but they have also been keeping me full until tea time at 11am.
002)I am also in love with trying new recipes out. Pinterest has been a major source of inspiration for trying new things. This week I have been loving zucchini (courgette) fries.
003) I don't want to jinx things but hasn't this weather been a welcome surprise from the bad weather of late. Fingers crossed for a brilliant summer!
004)Yesterday i went into cleaning overload.Once I started, I went into overdrive and cleaned everything including inside of the windows (I live in a flat so can't do outside). Oh well at least I have a sparkling flat...
005)Oblivion is a bizarre film. Although I think Tom Cruise has bulked up a bit....
006)'The Great Gatsby' is such a good book. It is a bit short though. However, I'm really looking forward to the film being released shortly.
007) I have started to tackle reading 'Les Miserables' on my kindle. I think I could be reading it for a while. I'm still on 1%...
008)Speaking of the above, I have finally got around to ordering the Original London Cast Soundtrack which has....wait for it....32 (or there about) songs!! I will be in my element :)
009)I had the most wonderful fish cake from Sainsburys the other night for my dinner. It was from the taste the difference range and it had a cheese and leek sauce in the middle. Yum yum.
010)I need to start phase 2 of the flat cull. I gutted everything not that long ago but nowadays I'm finding that I am less about material objects and more about making memories so I want to get rid of more things. I think going through my sock drawer may be a good start....

Sleek blush by 3 - Lace

I'm going to come clean. I am a blusher addict and it doesn't take me long to add new one to my collection. Until this one.

Sleek Blush by 3

Blush by 3 from Sleek is a collection of 3 blushes in one palette. With 3 blushers to choose from, it is easy to pick one to match your look. If you don't want to use just one, you can combine 2 or 3 for a unique look. Another great stand-out feature is that it is perfect for travelling. Instead of taking 3 separate blushers, you can take just one palette with you.

I picked up the palette in 'Lace'. Lace contains blushers in the shades Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly.

Sleek Blush by 3 - Lace
Top to bottom: Crochet,Guipure and Chantilly

Blush by 3 retails for £9.99 and is available from Superdrug and also www.sleekmakeup.com

10 things this week #13

Would you like a burger with that?

10 things:

001)I never thought I would see the day that I would get so excited about acquiring a blender.Cue copious amounts of smoothies...
002)On the subject of food and drink, I have really been enjoying drinking hot blackcurrant with some honey thrown in instead of my usual overload of tea.
003)My washing pile will soon require its own room - it is truly monstrous.I am aiming to blitz as much as possible this week.
004)Judy Garland had the most amazing voice. I have been listening to my Easter present (instead of an egg) from my Mum & Dad which was Over the Rainbow: The very best of Judy Garland.
005)Identity Thief is a good film,I just could do without the snakes...
006)I have been enjoying the weather this week. Shame that it's not a tad warmer...
007)Biffy Clyro are amazing live. I have seen them 3 times now and each time I have one of the best nights ever. They are also one of the few bands that I have followed since school.
008)Speaking of Biffy Clyro, their new album 'Opposites' is amazing. I'm not sure if its beats 'Blackened Sky' though which was released in 2001 (yes, they have been around that long and i've loved them since then)
009)I am rubbish at remember to charge my toothbrush.
010)I have just broken my space bar...

10 things this week #12

Just a little Easter walk through the woods with my two favourite dogs and my parents. No filter.

Oh don't mind me. I'm just popping in after a week of gathering thoughts and recharging my brain. This girl is ready to blog with a bang.

10 things:

001)Trance is an amazing movie. Thought-provoking, gory plus a naked James McAvoy at one point.Yum.
002)My two favourite boys are still the cutest, sweetest dogs in the world.
003)Porridge and a banana is now my favourite go-to breakfast. It fills me up until at least 11am when I usually choose to munch on some grapes while drinking a herbal tea.
004)I seem to have turned into a chocolate-stashing monster. It's not even Easter eggs. At one point I had chocolate digestive biscuits, Kit-kats, a giant Lindt bunny, some truffles and some chocolate raisins in my kitchen. Normally these would all be gone within a day or two of having them but they have lasted.Times are changing.
005) I have finished reading 'Life of Pi' which was amazing although quite graphic in places which wasn't exactly great while eating your lunch.
006)Boots 3 for 2 is dangerous. That is all I have to say on the matter.
007)I have been eyeing up potential new compact cameras.I want something that is great for recording YouTube videos but also great for photography.Does anyone know of any apart from an SLR as I'm not ready to replace my one yet as its still working its magic for me (even if it is 6 years old!)
008)Pinterest is highly addictive.
009) I have been enjoying eating chickpeas as an alternative to snacking on naughty things
010)F1 is shaping up to be pretty exciting :).
