Stop right now, thank you very much

Remember me? I was hungover here

Sometimes life flies by and you don't even notice. I can't believe it's almost June - it doesn't seem possible that I was making New Years Day dinner for my parents a mere 6 months ago. It also doesn't seem possible that I'm heading down to London for a long weekend with one of my friends for Glee at the end of June as well. So much has happened in a short space of time.

Well, what have I been doing recently? I had a lovely, well-deserved, 10 days off from work in which I flew down to England twice in a week. Once, for my baby cousin's Christening and the 2nd time for a bridesmaid dress fitting for a wedding in September. During that 10 days, I also played a litter of Puppies and caught up with an old schoolfriend.

Since I've been back, I've changed my phone, had a week of girly chats and fun with one of my friends, restarted my gym routine, signed up for Race for Life (Widget on the side), developed healthy food cravings (can't be a bad thing), spent far too long in Photoshop and giggled hysterically at Daisy attempting to be spiderham.

Coming up, I have almost a week at home which is filled with a dentist appt, Matthew Morrison (aka Mr Shue) and meeting the latest arrival, Alfie. Oh, and I have a Job interview tomorrow :)

PS: Does anyone recognise the title? Guess in the comments :)

The Friday Five....

Rediscovering hobbies:

I've been messing around with cameras since I was about 9 years old. Unfortunately, I don't often get time to have a day where I can spend doing Photography. On Wednesday,I had the opportunity to spend a day doing photography with one of my friends.

Finding mementos from Childhood:

Recently my parents have been spending time spring-cleaning the barn. In my house, the barn is another name for the place where Dad keeps his wood, we keep old things that we don't need (my dad has flares in there somewhere - i'm wanting to pull them out for giggles). Its also the place where the cat likes to sleep. Whilst cleaning, my mum came across these old birthday cards from my 1st birthday. I don't really remember these but it's nice to be able to see them now. One of my favourites is the Mr Men card/picture book that my Cousins drew for me :).

I'm obsessed with Cookies at the moment - White Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Oatmeal and Raisin...i'm not fussed. I've actually just made a batch of Banana and Pecan (shown above), which are really yummy!

I've had the Season 1 and 2 boxsets for ages, but I've never got around to watching them, until now :).

I've been on twitter for ages (@ameyjaney) but I seem to slowly be getting more and more addicted to it.

Sunday Spotlight: Preloved Reloved

This week's Sunday Spotlight goes to Preloved Reloved. This blog has only recently appeared on my radar, however it is one which I have quickly grown to admire.

Preloved Reloved is a blog which follows the journey of Kim as she sets herself the challenge of only wearing 2nd hand clothes for a year. Featuring outfit posts and snippets of life, the readers are shown what can be achieved without spending huge amounts and all for a good cause. Launched in honour of her Dad, who sadly passed away earlier this year, she is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support along with raising the awareness of Cancer, Heart Disease and Diabetes.

Please take time to pay a visit to Preloved Reloved and read all about Kim's journey. There is a justgiving link on her blog as well if you wish to make a small donation :).
